着付けを習う前に義母の大島紬を洗張に出しました。
呉服屋さん、なんだか理由をつけてお値段が上がっていく…。
でも知識がないのでお値段が妥当なのかどうか分からない。
無知な私でも、洗張や丸洗いという言葉は知ってました。
色無地に初釜でポトリとお湯を落としたのが気になって悶々。
汗も吸ってるだろうし、染みになってたらどうしよう。
袷（シルック）も単（綿シルク）もそろったし、
一張羅として箪笥で休ませたい。
情報を吟味してきもの工房なぎささんにお願いしました。
悉皆作業に入る前には、着物の状態を見て頂いた上で
メールや電話で相談できます。
汗抜きは必須、お湯ポトリは染みになっているか確認して欲しいと要望を出したところ、汗抜きだと仕上げ作業が別料金になることもあり、丸洗い+汗抜き＋染み抜きをお願いしました。
（やっぱりお湯ポトリは丸い染みになってました･･･）
なぎささんから戻った時には、着物カルテが入っています。
念のため送る前にサイズを測っていましたが
縮んでいることはありませんでした。一安心です。
カルテを見ると衿、袖口、裾が汚れてたのがよく分かります。
(なので、シルックを自分で洗う時に確認・予洗いしてます)
でもでもでも！
着物初心者なので情報は大切！
無知の知、自分を理解しています。
そこで着物を着るようになって半年経った2014年夏、
静京呉服京染店さんの悉皆ワークショップに行きました。
3代目は私と同じ世代、しかもお互いワーキングマザー。
自宅でできるちょっとしたお手入れ方法や
着物を洗いに出すタイミングなどを教えていただきました。
義母からもらった帯締の房が、やかんの湯気で元通り！

沸かせたお湯の湯気でしっとりさせます。
･･･面倒になってやかんの蓋を開けたのは、私です(^^;)
正しくは、やかんの口から！この向きが熱くないです。
柘植の櫛ですいて、ハサミで整えて終わり！
帯揚もアイロンをかけて美しく！
知識を得ると一抹の不安…いや確信。
お茶の先輩からの頂いた袷の着物、胴裏が茶色い…。
…胴裏が茶色いのはカビです（ちーん）
他の着物にカビが移ったら泣きます！
小さいけどいい生地なので静京さんに洗張に出しました。
（昔の反物の方が絹の質は良いことが多いそうです)
共布の八掛使って単衣にできるか、帯にするか･･･
ひとまず、箪笥で寝かせています。
いろんなお店に悉皆を頼んだのはいい勉強になりました。
他に羽織から作った帯の手直しをわさい糸果さんに依頼中。
次回の洗張は川瀬商店さんにお願いしてみようかな。
消費者として、悉皆に関する情報を正しく仕入れて
各店の得意不得意をふまえ、一店舗に限ることなく
上手にお付き合いしていきたいです。

Silk kimono are difficult to clean and wash whithout the proper methods.
And We need to take silk kimono into account that maintenance is an issue.
I had Oshima Tsumugi Kimono which mother-in-law gave me but it was small. I asked a kimono shop whether I would wear it after arai-hari (stretch the pieces of a kimono on boards to dry after they have been washed and starched) before I went to dressing kimono lesson. The price went up more and more durign talking to a cleark though I wasn’t sure the cost was appropriate….
I attended the first tea ceremony of 2014 and the drop of hot water fall from the hishaku(ladle) on my thighs when I hold the hishaku over my lap for finishing the temae. I wonderd if the drop water became the stains. I decided to ask KIMONO ATELIER NAGISA to do maru-arai the Iromuji and nagajuban by Maru-arai after I got sillook kimono and nagajuban.
The stains was removed. The size of my kimono was NOT changed after maru-arai. I I feel relieved now.
But I’m a beginner of kimono.
Knowledge is power!!!
I attended the workshop about kimono maintenance at Sizukyou. Third-generation president taught how to care kimono, obiage and obijime by ourselves.
Obijime tassel ends became as beautiful as ever by steaming and trimming.
Obiage became as beautiful as ever by ironing.
She is the almost same age as me. She is a working mother and has as same money sense for kimono as I. I’ve got one of good advisor.
After that, I asked Sizukyou to do arai-hari the kimono which my senior of Urasenke. The body lining of this kimono was brown, wasn’t it?
It was covered with mold! This was the reason why the body lining was brown.
I also ask Itoca to readjust my obi which was made over by haori. I think it is important to get knowledge how to care of kimono.
