背の高い着物初心者です : Kimono biginner even tall

背が高い私、172.5cmあります。着物に向いてない身長です。

2013年2月からお茶のお稽古に通い始めました。
お茶・・・1月の初釜、11月の炉開きと着物を避けて通れません。
2013年11月の炉開きの時はお洋服で行きましたが、
さすがに2014年の1月の初釜はお着物をお持ちだったよね?という先輩方の無言の圧力。
20歳過ぎに母のを仕立て直した唯一の着物を片手に、
2013年11月末から着付け教室に通いました。

以下、私の主な寸法表です。

＊サイズ表はこちらが分かりやすいです。

昔の反物の幅は９寸５分（約36cm）が一般的でした。
肩巾＋身巾＝裄なので、反物２枚分の幅なのですが
袖口、肩の縫い合わせ、身頃と反物の左右に縫い代が必要。
その分使える反物の幅が狭くなる。
縫い代は2.5分って考えると、
(95-2.5×2)×2 =180….裄は１尺８寸ちょいが限度。
唯一の着物は白生地の時から長さがあった反物だったので
私も着れると仕立て直してもらったのですが、裄は１尺８寸２分。
ま、たいていのアンティーク着物が裄以前に身丈が足りませんけどね〜。

が、しかし！

私にも着れる着物が現代にはありました！（ひゃっほー！）

もともと「あさきゆめみし」が好きな私。着物にハマりました。
そんなこんなで、背の高い着物初心者が買い揃えていった品々を紹介していきます。

I’ve learned Urasenke, the way of tea since Feb 2013. We have to wear kimono at the first tea ceremony of the year in January and opening the hearth in November. So I went to kimono dressing lesson from the end of November 2013. At that time, I had only kimono which I received from my mom when I was around 20, which was washed, smoothed and made over again for me.

My Kimono size is

Antique kimono are very small for me….

But!!!
Today there are many large cloth for kimono!
I can enjoy kimono!

I’ve liked “Asakiyumemishi” for ages.
I’ll write something I bought since I started kimono dressing lesson as a biginner.
